Low frame rate in ARMA III
Low frame rate in ARMA III
DayZ Standalone behaves in a comparable way to what I experience. This is probably due to AMD CPUs struggling with single-threaded tasks, especially games, and ARMA being a demanding application on your system. It could also be related to your GPU, though at the lowest settings it runs smoothly on most 2GB and higher GPUs that are newer. The 7000 series isn't drastically different from the 300(X) lineup.
Great, since my motherboard is from AMD only, I can't even purchase a new CPU right now—I have to upgrade the whole system later. That’s okay; at least I know what to prioritize for my next PC. My friends often tease me about having an AMD CPU, but I’m not letting that stop me. I’m wondering if there are any plans for the new NFS coming in November and whether it will support Doom in Q1/Q2. I’m still figuring out when I’ll be able to buy a new machine, so thanks for the advice!
I’d receive a refund and purchase Arma II. It performs better and delivers a true DayZ experience.
I play Arma 3 on a 2500k system running ultra at 60 frames per second using a 970 graphics card.
