Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out why my frame rates are so low across all games. My system specs look good: RTX 2080 I7 9700k, 16GB RAM, 3200MHz, 1080p resolution, 550W PSU. I store games on an HDD, not an SSD, but I'm not sure that's affecting FPS much. The strange part is my RTX 2060 also drops to around 30 FPS in games like Red Dead Redemption 2 when I switch between them. I've tried reinstalling Windows, updating NVIDIA drivers, resetting the control panel, updating BIOS, and even changing settings. Other games like New Spider Man give me 70 FPS with the 2060, but with the 2080 I'm stuck at about 50 FPS. I've also tried different games and haven't found a solution. Any tips or ideas could really help!

Yes, I checked the clock speed and temperatures during gameplay.

I looked at my temperatures around 75-78 degrees but haven't checked the clock speed. Which software should I use for that?

your 2080 is an asus rog strix with 8gb triple fans, and your 2060 runs on evga ko with double fans.

MSI Afterburner or GPU-Z are both good options.

Sure, I'll look into your clock speed and capture a screenshot. What's the typical normal range for your processor?

The details change from card to card, and GPU-Z will show you the specifics.

I checked the results with both software. Everything looks normal, no unusual activity detected.
