Ryzen 5 1600 AF paired with RX 6600 offers 8GB RAM and 16GB storage. The system struggles to maintain steady 60 FPS in Doom 2016, especially at medium settings, with frequent frame drops into the 30s and 40s. Both CPU and GPU aren't reaching their full potential, and OpenGL 4.5 performance is subpar.

What level of detail are you using for your system measurements? Are you checking on an SSD storage setup? How do you assess the CPU and GPU capabilities?

It seems the performance is poor, likely due to a bottleneck at 30 MB/s. I thought this would be the case. Riva Statistics Tuner

Yes, the same software can track SSD performance during gaming. Check temperatures regularly to avoid CPU throttling due to heat.

Spent another hour playing the game. The hard drive indicator stays lit continuously.

Which SSD model are you using? For precise details, try Crystal Disk Mark or Samsung Magician. Are there any other games that seem slow?

It seems you're experiencing lower-than-expected performance despite the GPU being at 60% and CPU at 25%. You might want to check other factors like drivers, background processes, or resource allocation.

I've moved up from medium to ultra. It doesn't noticeably change FPS, particularly during lower frames.
