Have you attempted to reinstall your GPU drivers? If unsuccessful, do you have access to another PC (perhaps from a friend) where you could test your GPU? Another possibility is switching to a different GPU in your system. This might help determine whether the issue lies with the GPU or another component.

Changed the drivers. While checking the AMD software, I saw the average frame rate across all my games is 55 FPS—from RE Village to Among Us. I believe the issue lies with the SSD.

Confirm your settings are clear—no V-sync or FPS limits enabled.

Absolutely, that SSD is really slowing down your entire system during a Steam update.

Which SSD model are you using? Crystal Disk Mark will indicate its performance when you run that benchmark.

I bought a cheap teamgroup SATA 960GB from a couple of years ago. I suspect it was faulty from the start, but I didn’t notice because I grew up with mechanical HDDs. Recently, I ordered a FireCuda 520 2TB NVME from Newegg for $180 to try and fix it. It looks like a good deal at that price. If it doesn’t work, I’m worried about damaging my computer and losing money.

I've executed AS-SSD and it struggles with write speeds. It won't even run the 4K benchmark properly—it freezes once it hits around 30 MB/s in optimal conditions, then slows down further as if trying to keep up.

It seems there might be an issue with the controller. The FireCuda 520s are reliable units. We should see improvement if the problem is resolved. Based on your description, it likely points to a defect.

The new drive works fine for file transfers, but your game performance remains poor. You're experiencing stuttering and frame drops in Doom 2016 on Ultra, around 45 to 55 frames per second.

Absolutely identical problem. Consistent 55 FPS. Clearly the 1600 AF isn't improving this? What might be causing it? Could it be related to RAM, memory card, chipset drivers?
