Regardless of the game, 60 is the absolute minimum and 90-140 is the typical range.

Favorite selection looks good. Perhaps I’ll revise this later to include precise figures. Usually, third-person adventure titles range from 30 to 40, while first-person shooters sit between 40 and 30. Racing falls in the middle with 30-40 entries. Sports games average around 30, and most platforms lean toward 30 multiplayer options. I think this gives a solid overview, though exceptions often need higher frame rates. It seems most titles work well at about 30, but I’d need something near 60 to feel fully engaged.

It's a bit slow at 40. 30 is way too slow. My main concern is the drop in frames per second. A 20fps decrease from 120 to 100 seems less impactful than going from 60 to 40.

I aim for 60 in all situations, though I haven't really pushed lower FPS since I don’t have to. Before getting a new GPU, I played Elite Dangerous at about 30 FPS, which was okay but the smoothness made it better at 60. I’m curious what FPS would be needed before you’d see it in South Park: The Stick of Truth...

Run without VSync, and input delay remains imperceptible even at 60 frames per second.

Estimating about 20 is reasonable.

Back then I was more accepting of lower performance, but now I usually want around 60 FPS or higher (50+) to avoid constant distractions. I still think some genres handle low framerates better than others, but overall it makes games less fun for me.
