Hello everyone. I encountered problems with Windows 10 and the rollback didn’t work, so I spent a week restoring and reinstalling to Windows 7. Since the issue isn’t resolved yet, I’m continuing on Windows 7. Do you all still use Windows 7 on your systems? What are your reasons for that? For me, it’s mainly a bug in Windows 10, but I’ll miss using Windows 7 if I upgrade again later.

I’m not aware of any issues with Windows 10. Unless your device doesn’t support it, there’s no need to revert to an older version.

If I allow Windows to just install drivers, things stop working. Using custom ones fixes the issue but means sacrificing privacy or risking battery overheating in exchange for faster performance. Turning it on leads to a black screen instead of useful output, which is until Windows updates overwrite its own drivers and breaks itself.

I do and I refuse to upgrade there's no reason for me to deal with all that problems while current OS doesn't have any problem (if not better than the new one) my test machine PSU is dying so I don't have beta machine to give new OS a try. probably I'll stick just like they force XP to die before I upgrade to next new OS (which rumored going to be "free")

Would it happen to be by any chance a HP laptop? From around the days where AMD still used the name Ati for some GPU? As for sticking with Windows 7. There are no legitimate reasons to upgrade from it-and DirectX 12 isn't one as Microsoft is artificially locking it to Windows 10.

It's a 6770m with a movable sandy bridge. Also, if dx12 is restricted on Windows 10, would that be a good reason to upgrade?

Are you among the rare users of MSX who haven’t faced any issues at all? That’s what I’m sensing...

I’m sticking with Windows 7 for different reasons too, even though it’s not the latest. If I could, I’d switch right away, but work and government software aren’t compatible yet with Windows 10. Most people talk positively about Windows 10, so I don’t think there’s a strong reason to stay unless you’re dealing with problems after a clean install.
