C-Tier suits a budget GPU such as the 5060 Ti. When conditions are similar, it performs adequately. However, chip quality plays a bigger role and WD allocates less to the SN5000 in this regard. Both provide comparable warranties, and the NV3 has a longer rated lifespan. Based on my experience, they match in customer service. Personally, I’d prefer AM4 over AM5 if it means a better GPU instead of a subpar one. Upgrading GPUs is costly, so it’s smarter to invest in current capabilities rather than chasing future resolutions. A $100 investment in a case feels excessive for this price point... it’s way too much. Regarding airflow, it meets the minimum standards for budget components. The GPU handles the task, not the CPU, so video editing performance isn’t a major concern.
AMD CPUs don't have a good onboard video encoder/decoder which matters for most video editing programs because that's the accelerator they use for scrubbing video. If the CPU is powerful enough, software mode will be fine, but in this case he really needs Intel. I think the CPU is fine, but the RAM should be 64GB if he can squeeze in an extra $100. The 5060 is good for the price. I don't think VRAM matters and the CUDA computing capability is similar to high end cards from 3 generations earlier so it would do a good job with video encoding. I don't know anything about effects because I don't do that kind of video editing.

Can't locate the referenced data for my quoted figure (300 TBW). The numbers cited there appear inaccurate. Usually, doubling capacity means doubling endurance since there are twice as many cells. Yet every source I’ve found also mentions 600. Fascinating.

This setup supports various H.265 video codecs with different bit depths and chroma sampling. The GPU manages VFX processing in real time, leaving the mainframe to handle decoding/encoding. My interest lies in how video editors would adapt their processes if a dedicated GPU could replace QuickSync. Would professionals stick with Intel or move toward AMD?
