Check the 3600 details on AMD's site: https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-3600. The base clock runs at 3.6Ghz, but the boost clock can go up to 4.2Ghz. Values under 4.2 are typical, anything above that is considered an overclock.

Even with six cores, if a program only needs two, the CPU can adjust and allocate resources accordingly—perhaps lowering four cores to 2.5GHz while increasing the other two to 4.2GHz. This setup enhances your gaming experience. For benchmark tests like Cinebench, the CPU won’t boost to its maximum because it detects limited usage. The base clock remains a fixed limit, but the boost clock indicates potential up to 4.2GHz under ideal conditions. On Windows desktops, when not under full load, CPUs typically exceed their base clock speed.

To ensure safety, you can fully reset your BIOS by either setting optimized defaults inside the BIOS or removing the silver CMOS battery for five minutes while the device is unplugged. BE CAREFUL NOT TO PANIC, because rushing actions like forcing removal or altering settings can harm your system. Panicking increases the chance of mistakes and damage.
