If you can list the firmware thats on your Samsung and the manufacturer date we can tell you bad, good or other... How full is the drive and is there a different drive with just the O/S or does this drive do both? What are your cpu and gpu temps when these games are loaded? Do you have Geforce Experience installed? Did you setup your mobo bios or just let it auto do everything>? Is fast boot on? Did you setup your windows power options in the O/S? Do you have your system ram running in 2 channel mode? Meaning one stick is in A1 and the other stick in B1? That is pretty slow ram so it wouldnt be the cause but it could contribute with other issues. Does this game stuttering issue happen when you are online or single player?

The drive is fully utilized and handles both operating system and gaming tasks. You’ve been using the 980 Pro for OS and games, but recently switched to an ADATA SSD for the OS while keeping the 980 Pro for gaming. The firmware is now at version 5B2QGXA7; you can check the manufacture date on the SSD itself or manufacturer’s website. Your CPU temperatures stay under 80°C, and your GPU rarely exceeds 82°C during gameplay. GeForce Experience is installed, and you’ve enabled XMP and fan smart curve in BIOS. Fast boot isn’t available due to Valorant’s restrictions, so I disabled it. Windows Power Options are not set up in the OS. Your RAM operates in dual-channel mode. The stuttering issue appears only in single-player mode; online play is stable. Fortnite has caused past problems, but I’ll attempt to play it now.

Thank you for the details. The production date on the box will show the manufacturing info, indicated by the black sticker. This helps determine if your SSD came from faulty batches. The firmware release date also matters, but the actual production date is more reliable. You probably don’t need to reinstall GeForce Experience—it can disrupt game performance by sending unnecessary data to NVIDIA and affecting CPU usage. That could be the root cause.

Windows updates and telemetry data often overload the CPU, reducing internet speed. To fix this, you can use a free tool to install clean SSD drivers: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/tec...cleanstall. For removal, try this utility: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/Disp...3-Released. It will clear the NVIDIA and PhysX drivers, let you enable HD audio if desired, and guide you through the steps. It’s straightforward and removes unnecessary components.

Your temperatures are a bit high—82°C is generally considered acceptable, but it’s not ideal. The maximum temperature for your GPU is around 100°C, though Intel may throttle it to prevent overheating. Since your GPU has only 8 cores, this could be contributing to the issue. If you’re using WD Blue and Green HDDs, they’re reputable, but they come with a two-year warranty. Don’t fill them up completely; keep at least 10% free space to avoid damage. If possible, replace them.

SSDs are another concern. The blue SSDs are decent, but it’s unlikely you’ll find green HDDs or SSDs anymore. Make sure your system stays cool and consider proper airflow if you’re using these drives.

I'm also experiencing problems with 7920x. The same challenges appear. I need to shut down Corsair iCUE and Logitech Hub. During stuttering, I check my tasks manager and close background applications. It seems the issue might be linked to the 7th generation CPU and Windows 10. After more than a year of searching, I'm considering replacing both the CPU and RAM. It doesn't seem worth continuing... There seems to be a CPU constraint. Something else is consuming your processing power.

This means the CPU can handle up to 12 cores with 24 threads running simultaneously at a speed of 4.4GHz. It clarifies the maximum performance under those conditions.
