For a premium board with more native USB ports on the rear, consider adding cards. USB hubs are another option—they let you connect additional devices. Since you stream or have multiple peripherals, you likely don’t need every port fully. With 14 or 15 ports, about half are in use, and some ports aren’t responding. Using extra ports as a backup makes sense.

He chose a top-tier board, while many mid-range options feature 8-10 ports on the rear IO. Lower-end models: B450 Pro4 (8), B365 Pro4 (8), B360 Aorus Gaming 3 (8), B360 Prime Plus (8). These are generally around $100 to $125 with mid-range chipsets. Some makers may cut back on rear IO, but there are plenty of choices. Mid-range boards (~$150) like the X470 GPC offer 10 USB ports, while the X470 Aorus Ultra and Z390 Aorus Pro also provide 10. Most boards above $130 usually have at least 8 ports, and nearly every board has six or more.

I'm checking out the X570 Aorus Pro, thanks for the tip! Your time and guidance mean a lot. I'm especially looking for a good number of USB ports. As discussed before, my current PC has four on the front/top and around ten in the back.

This hub comes from a reputable source and is made of solid aluminum, providing good performance for flash drives. It’s available at a discounted price, but you might find the plastic alternative more affordable.

As you progress toward higher-end options, quality improves significantly. I’d recommend starting with Asus, followed by AsRock and Gigabyte. I wouldn’t consider MSI products; they’re mainly PCIe cards meant to boost USB ports. Based on your numbers, the GPC offers 8 ports, while the Aorus Ultra provides 10—though only if you count Type C variants, which remain uncommon for typical PC setups. Pro delivers 9 ports. For mid-to-high range boards, models like the Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 and Taichi Ultimate come with 8 ports, plus USB C options. ROG Maximus Xi and EVGA Z390 models also feature 7 ports, while Z390 variants from ROG Strix offer 8. Most boards in this price bracket fall between $200 and $300, excluding those with 10 USB ports. Typically, only a few exceed that count, but they’re not the norm. What do you think?

I wasn't trying to be misleading; I understood you were incorrect. It was simple to find evidence for it.
