On the rear side, most motherboards feature 10 to 12 ports on the back, two internal USB 2.0 connectors, and one internal USB 3.0 port, plus a single USB C connector. Each port supports two devices except for the USB C. Typically, you'll find no more than two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 connections. I recently purchased a USB 3.0 hub that expands one USB 3.0 into four USB 3.0 ports for around six dollars on Amazon.
I might not be connecting every single USB port, but I likely use around half of them, possibly even more. There are several USB devices attached to my computer at the moment.
It works well and offers sufficient capacity. You might prefer X570 since those Intel CPUs can be costly. Which processor are you thinking about? By the way, I rely on many USB ports—this setup seems near the maximum (unless you frequently use external drives). Configuration: 2 USB 2.0 for keyboard/mouse, 1 USB 3.0 for cable, 1 USB 3.0 for phone, 1 USB 3.0 hub for flash drives/SD card reader, headphone dongle, and external disks. One USB 3.0 to DAC/AMP, another USB 3.0 for webcam, another USB 3.0 for micro USB, and a headset. Without the hub, you have about 10 ports; with it, only 7. I have one extra port left. My motherboard supports 6, and my front I/O has 2.

To increase native USB ports on the rear I/O, you should consider higher-end chips. Adding in cards is another option, especially if you're planning expansion. It's unclear what devices you're connecting—seems like a lot of peripherals. Probably not many, as most boards have 5 to 7 ports. Only 10 to 12 are typical for top-tier systems.
