I recommend a mid-range motherboard with at least 8GB of RAM, depending on your specific needs.
The parts I selected result in lower performance costs. Seems okay if you can accommodate a 7900xtx or a 4080 and still fit an air compressor inside.
It would be great to have two USB ports, but it seems we need a minimum of eight USB ports available.
The setup already includes 2 USB ports, one on the rear I/O and another for front I/O. There are also headers for USB 2 and 3 on the front I/O. This configuration provides a minimum of 9 USB ports and a maximum of 11-13 depending on the case. You might consider purchasing an additional USB header that utilizes the expansion slots to add more rear USB ports if needed.
Avoid using a Z690 board and don’t need to flash the BIOS to make your CPU function properly.
The 13700k isn't exactly the same as the 12900k, but it's a noticeable improvement. It offers a smoother experience, stronger performance, and better caching.
