Keep the fans facing forward, letting cool air come in and warm air go out. Because the H510 has a solid front design, the fans need to push harder to bring in fresh air. It’s best to move the top fan to the front and take off the side panels.

It’s understood that the situation is valid, yet the information from PCPartpicker doesn’t address your concerns about the notes.

The first option indicates that a 3.2 gen 2 or 1 USB Type C header won't work because the board doesn't support it. The second suggests you may need a taller heat spreader and can consult the seller for availability.

I understand your point, but it seems like the issue isn't significant beyond better airflow. Since you already have the NZXT case, purchasing another one won't really help and might just cost more.

You can simply keep using it; just don’t miss the chance to use the USB Type C header and remove the tempered side panel if you want better thermal performance. That’s all.

However, as mentioned earlier, PCPartpicker indicated I can't use the type C in the 4000D Airflow either.

If you don't require a type C header, it's fine. The Strix B550 - F includes a USB 3.2 20-pin connector next to its 24-pin ATX power port, and the NZXT H510i has a front panel with a Type C USB 3.1 Gen 2 port and an internal Type C A-Key connector that fits directly into the adapter. You'll get full speed for Type C USB 3.1 Gen 2 with this device. Source: Amazon
