Obtain the 500 series only—it’ll surely improve in the future. They’re also more recent and most issues have been resolved. You might be unlucky with a defective board, or something else is at play. Still, the B550 was clearly the best pick. In my opinion, Gigabyte and ASUS produce top-tier 500 series boards. My top picks are: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro V2, offering great value for high-end overclocking; Asus Strix B550-F gaming, which is very popular. The B550 Aorus Master supports 3 M.2 at 4.0 speeds. It allocates 8 GPU lanes for the GPU and uses the remaining 8 to provide 4 each to the additional 2 M.2s. Though quite costly, their x570 boards are now decent.
