Sure, opt for Windows. It usually handles capture cards better and drivers tend to work more smoothly.

Yes, it exists, though OBS supports multiple platforms. Elgato's tools don't work on Linux.

You'd be better off just going with Windows because their is a lot more supported software, if you're really keen on Linux, Just do a partition on your ssd or hdd or buy a seperate drive that you can install Linux on.

I could try that too. I’ll leave most of the software on the Windows side, then I’ll play games on Linux... probably... I’m not sure.
