Hello, I'm looking for a Windows 10 license for my notebook. I'm concerned about getting a cheap option and have heard mixed things about sites like G2A offering pre-owned keys. Are there other ways to obtain a license without paying full price? Thanks for your help!

Well there are loads on eBay, although they can be very hit and miss as to whether you get one that actually works, and there's no certainty as to how long it will work for. The eBay keys are similar to the G2A keys, very uncertain. Did your notebook come with windows preinstalled? If it did, it is likely that it came with a Windows licence that you can recover.

The notebook comes with a single language license... I need it in English ^^ What do you mean by "how long they'll work"? Didn't think it would last forever? I assumed that was the plan... D:

That clarifies things a bit. If they function at all, you seem capable. But Microsoft can disable fake license codes, and if a vendor sells the same key to numerous buyers, you might encounter issues, as some are known to do.

Visit Kinguin. They email the key to your inbox. Just complete a few additional steps by contacting Microsoft support for a code tied to the key you purchase.

It seems like you're hoping for a trustworthy store and expecting a refund if needed.

They offer an additional service for extra charges, replacing the item if needed. Be sure to follow their installation instructions.

Such a store, for instance, seems fairly trustworthy. You might need to dial Microsoft's automated number, as I've done before.

I purchased it from Kinguin two years ago for my PC. It functioned perfectly, remained active, and even carried over to my new 8700K build. Updated: Checked my order records and noticed a "Windows 10 Professional OEM Key" from the seller CheapOEMkey.com.
