Hello, I own an ASUS P9X79 with an i7 4930K, dual RAM modules, a 280X Vapor-X, and a Seasonic S12II 620 watt power supply. When I turn it on, the board lights up in a series of red phases and ends with the Boot device LED staying red without any POST. The monitor switches to power save mode right away, regardless of whether I connect my SATA drives. Removing the battery for a full day didn’t resolve the issue. Any suggestions? In your clip, you mentioned lacking RAM, which explains why it isn’t posting. What kind of power supply do you use, and have you considered changing the SATA connections?

I removed the battery for an entire day, but did you also disconnect the computer? As long as power reaches the system, it won’t reset the CMOS. For troubleshooting, it’s best to leave the battery out completely until it functions. Try using only one RAM DIMM and test different slots, along with DIMMs. Keep the SSD unplugged and/or experiment with various SATA ports and cables.

2x4GB XPG storage. I've changed the SATA ports on the motherboard but it hasn't helped. I have two SSDs—a Kingston V300 with 120GB for the operating system and important files, and a Silicon Power 512GB for the loadscreen and games I play nonstop.

I also took the power off. I repeated the process but it didn't work. I swapped in an 8GB Kingston Hyper X RAM, yet the system still won't start. I left the SSD disconnected and experimented with various SATA connections and cables. What should I try next?

I think the motherboard or CPU might be faulty. You could test other power supplies and GPUs, putting everything together separately. Make sure all power connectors are secure. I've noticed odd behavior before—sometimes the case itself stops a system from starting. Also, swap out the monitor and GPU connections, using different cables if needed. Anything you can do should be tried, even if it seems unusual. It's frustrating when your CPU lacks integrated graphics, making troubleshooting harder.

I removed everything from the case and tried connecting another SATA cable, but there’s still no signal. It seems like something might be faulty. This issue has happened before, yet it always resolved itself. I’m unsure whether my CPU or motherboard is the problem.

I believe I located the issue. Adding another GPU (WindForce 970) while the PC is powered on didn’t help, but inserting the 280X again still doesn’t produce a signal. It’s strange since the 280X functions properly on another system. Any suggestions?
