It wasn’t recording, but I managed to wave 14 in singleplayer vanduul swarm. I only reached 3 before. The main change was unlocking the hornet (I don’t know if it’s the highest ship is Avenger) and using it instead of the 300i. I never tried missiles (just didn’t know how). Is the hornet really that much better, or did I just improve somehow? On a side note, what’s making me black out sometimes?
I was playing the 300i, but as I mentioned in the previous comment, I felt much more comfortable with the Hornet.

I’ll upload a video. Just a note, you might be blocking the shields but not penetrating, the chain guns on the hornet are permitted to break through, though with reduced force.
It's great to see such rapid advancement. Focus on targeting the leading indicators rather than the overall ship, since the bullet needs time to reach its destination. The Hornet currently performs better in this situation. Adjustments later could shift the balance, but right now I feel more confident using the Hornet.
It seems you had trouble hitting them at first. Maybe it was a challenge you faced, but once you tried, they proved difficult to hit.
