You have two outdated Windows machines running XP and 7, and they're locked. You want to regain access without needing any extra tools, and you're open to completely erasing them. Consider wiping the drives clean.

Remove the drives from both computers, plug them into another machine, and you'll be able to access the files without entering a login.

You can still connect the drives and use an affordable USB to SATA converter to reach the files, or mount them on a desktop.

Alright, I've considered several options already but it's tough to put them into action. I don't personally own a desktop, which is why I didn't hesitate about the hard drive wiping. Probably the USB to SATA adapter would be a good fit. Thanks @Jamiec1130 Regarding the Windows XP lockout problem, I'm not sure. These were just old machines, so we probably didn't remember the password.
