You have a CD that restores the password using regedit. Just boot from it and run the commands. I'll check if I can find a link for you.

If it's just the Windows lock screen, it's not that difficult to circumvent. Probably many users are facing problems getting access to their Windows PC these days...

I logged off, honestly, nothing to add to the last discussion—it might be a different situation altogether. I don’t need to prove ownership; they’re just asking because they know I’m into computers. I’m 16, and my parents own the laptops. They’re not tech-savvy, so they’re reaching out for help. Now I feel a bit suspicious when I explain too much, hehe.
