Keeping a PC Safe?
Deepfreeze secures a saved setup of Windows and reverts to it upon restarting, even after changes are made. This functionality might have been better worded. For more details, visit the official site: http://www.faronics.com/products/deep-fr...nterprise/
Install Linux on the system. Also, find a complimentary substitute for Deep Freeze.
AMD, you've received some solid ideas already. Let's consider our software called RollBack Rx. It lets you create scheduled backups, so if needed, you can revert to a previous state when the system is stable. This could really help save time, especially with family members. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
It seems the most effective approach would be to set up a licensed antivirus program on his computer and perform a complete scan. I’m currently using Kaspersky, which I find quite reliable. Advise him to avoid logging into sites that automatically download files, and consider switching to a more modern browser if he’s using Internet Explorer. Let me know if you need further assistance!
Realistically - The situation isn't related to any virus. In 2014, most people didn't contract actual viruses. About 99.9% of what's labeled as "virus infections" are actually malware, such as browser issues, fake software, or common rootkit problems. It's nearly impossible to fully protect a system from malware since it often arrives through downloads or deceptive programs promising improvement. Many older users still receive these via emails, which is unfortunate.
