the problem is they don't mention the chipset in their marketing, so you have to look up more information. Sometimes a device will switch chipsets later on too. I purchase Alfa USB adapters because their site lists the chipset being used, making it simpler to understand which modes and drivers are supported https://www.alfa.com.tw/ You still need to verify the chipset if it's USB, but if it functions properly you shouldn't have to worry. I previously owned an Asus wireless USB adapter that came with the open-source Atheros chipset included in the operating system.
I'm going to purchase it since the other one requires Wi-Fi.
