I'm having a tough time with this. I spent hours trying to set up Kali Linux, but it won't detect Wi-Fi. Since I don’t have internet access, I can’t download the drivers directly. I tried installing from the .tar.x archive, but it didn’t work. I’m really stuck and don’t remember many commands, though I know the basics. I was supposed to go into the extra archive and run ./configure, but it’s giving errors. Can someone assist me?

The only solution I found to get Wi-Fi on Kali was providing the installer with the drivers. After installation, I wasn't able to install them again.

I approached it by breaking down the question and identifying the key points to address effectively.

From here, I believe you already have the relevant information at https://www.broadcom.com/support/downloa...astructure. Please follow the installation steps and return with a clear question if you encounter issues. I can only suggest modules to exclude from Debian based on the provided instructions.

It seems I’m missing the necessary kernel setup because I can’t compile it. Installing software without a working kernel is really tricky on Linux.

The problem involves closed-source drivers. Broadcom seems uncooperative. I search for Atheros chips during purchases, expecting seamless plug-and-play if drivers were in the kernel.

Using a budget wireless USB adapter might not be reliable; it often requires compatible drivers to function properly.

Used the ASUS USB wireless key from his PC and it functions properly. You can skip checking Broadcom or Atheros since it’s USB.
