I achieved quick results most of the time, typically within 15 to 45 seconds.
It's a sad situation. While it's a solid title, it leans heavily toward Borderlands with a more straightforward approach and stronger characters. Few people find it engaging, and it seems destined to fade away. I complete matches quicker in Killzone Shadow Fall, and the player pool there is much smaller. Battleborn had its moment, but it only resonated with those who experienced it, and it didn't sustain a lasting impact.
No one has attempted it before, honestly. Even with a starting player base of 10k, many think they won't enjoy it because of the online negativity. I keep searching for fresh experiences and stumbled upon Battleborn a few times, but didn’t really consider it until I played it for free. At that point, I was pretty bored and tried it, but it turned out to be a lot more enjoyable than I expected. It’s quite different from what I was used to, and within a week I was hooked. That’s all it took—no, it’s not over yet. I truly believe more people have played it than we think, especially given the negative atmosphere around it and its poor initial reception. We all have the right to share our thoughts, but so far everyone I’ve played it with has loved it. Why does it have to be labeled dead? I’m trying to keep this discussion focused, especially for those who haven’t tried it or have different experiences. There were balance and performance problems at launch, but things have improved now. I think it deserves a second chance, and I hope more people will give it a try.
Starting this game during the same week as the highly anticipated Overwatch was a huge mistake.
It's the community I hold responsible for much of the direct comparison to Overwatch. It seems most players noticed the first-person view and art style reminiscent of Overwatch, choosing to label it an Overwatch clone without considering finer details such as gameplay mechanics. Gearbox isn't innocent either. Given the community's reaction—visible long before Battleborn's launch—Gearbox should have rethought their release timing and business approach.
