I'm trying to encourage more folks to give Battleborn a shot. It just became available for free, which surprised me after missing it for a year due to launch problems and negative reviews. I've played most popular games, but Battleborn reignited my interest and kept me hooked after 25 hours. Anyone interested can download it right now from Steam! Just remember, you need to reach level 3 before competing against real players instead of bots—it's quick. The game mixes elements from Overwatch and Smite, includes a capture mode, plus unique features like a campaign with friends, gear loot for PvP, and a variety of skins. There are thousands of items to collect through quests and achievements, and you can switch between loadouts with each round. It's a fresh take on collecting, especially compared to games like Gigantic or Heroes of the Storm where items lose appeal fast. You can also earn extra abilities as you level up and unlock skins without spending money. If you're into free hero rotations that change weekly, it's similar to League of Legends. I'm sharing this because I genuinely think Battleborn has potential and I hope it grows. Cheers! My Steam ID is Elite_Killerz (I was 12).
I got it for the PS4 when it first launched, but the game crashed really badly afterward.
I gave it a shot on X1 and really disliked it—30 fps felt terrible, and nobody seemed to understand what they were doing. However, the game has been updated quite a bit, so I’d definitely suggest the PC version. The player base is still small, but most people haven’t even played it. Those who did were frustrated by early launch problems. It was marketed poorly and wasn’t fully ready when it came out, which is a shame. Still, I think it could make a comeback—my friends who tried it all love it and are serious PC gamers.
It's clear trolls will show up eventually. I'm really enjoying the game, but it seems most people haven't tried it yet—it needs more players.
It performed well until the release of OW. They promoted the game targeting OW, which might be a misunderstanding.
It just needs people to begin playing once more. Currently, it often takes around five minutes to join a match, yet the belief that it’s over is a major obstacle for newcomers. In reality, it’s still alive and actively sought after by both developers and players, though the situation might differ on PS4 compared to PC.
Overwatch’s launch timing shifted to follow Battleborn, not the reverse. Despite this change, the games remain quite different—Overwatch leans toward a relaxed, social vibe. And yes, it never performed exceptionally well, consistently staying under 10,000 players online.
