What are your thoughts on this setup? Using the Intel Core i5-12400F with an Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS, adding an SSD, and reusing other parts, then upgrading the rest? I believe it would still provide a solid improvement, since my performance was mainly constrained by the CPU.

the b660 and 12400 serve as a solid foundation. you can eventually upgrade to the 14700. search for a strong vrm design with at least 70a capacitors. a 12+ stage power phase will ensure the 14700 operates smoothly.

Received already 12400F and waiting on nvme SDD and B760M.
Do I need a custom cooler from the start? The 12400f comes with the stock one.
I think the 12400f has a turbo boost, which should be turned on in the BIOS by default.
