Do you have any recommendations for your motherboard choice, especially if you plan to overclock?

At a glance, the Gigabyte SOCs work well as OC MoBos, so everything should be okay.

Based on what I've noticed, I recommend 2x8GB GSkill Tridents at 2400/10. Stick with the 4790K. For the motherboard, the Z97 Hero from Asus works well; the Z87 was top-notch, but the Z97 is significantly better. I'm testing both in sigs and might have overlooked something, but what GPU would perform best for a PSU pick?

From what I've observed here, I recommend 2x8GB GSkill Tridents in 2400/10 configuration. Stick with the 4790K. For the motherboard, I'd choose the Z97 Hero from Asus. The Z87 was the top among its kind, and the Z97 is significantly better. I'm currently running both (in sig), though I might have overlooked something. What GPU would be best for PSU performance?

Using the rig with a 6990 setup would require a 750 unit with a minimum of 45 AMPs on the 12-volt rail. This should be sufficient, covering OCing and additional components.

What GPU would be ideal for PSU performance? Just an update.
