I used to be Silver 2 for quite some time, but slowly I worked my way up to Gold Nova Master through consistent effort. I only compete with friends, not random players, if you aim for the top.
The starting position is usually cautious. The ELO method breaks down into three elements: the number of games won or lost in each match (a perfect game like 16-0 boosts your score more than a close one), the count of MVP stars you possess (this might seem trivial but matters), and the overall ranking comparison between your team and the opponent. Psychologically, CS:GO players often exaggerate their achievements while downplaying setbacks. If your rank is higher than others, you’ll climb over time by winning more than you lose. Still, perfect rankings never come easily—progress takes patience. It only helped me reach MG1 after seven consecutive wins.
The distance between Nova 4 and MG1 is enormous. We often end up with five consecutive wins only to lose one, stuck in Nova. Pay attention to this person—they really understand the situation! Plus, I'm here to help if you want.
I can still demonstrate the hidden areas or give you some practice tips.
