Hey everyone, my Radeon HD 6970 is actually one of the best I've had, but I'm stuck with it right now. I can't seem to get the drivers working properly. During installation, the display flickers and stops showing anything, then I have to boot into safe mode to fix it. Only after removing the drivers in safe mode does it function correctly. When I try to restart normally, the screen just goes black.
It seems reasonable to verify the details beyond just the label. The information suggests potential issues with common cooling solutions due to possible scams. A recent match was found for an OC Radeon HD 6970, indicating it might require specific drivers that a generic 6970 driver won't support. I'm really sure it's genuine, the GPU confirms it's a real card.
You might want to re-read my previous post, I did find some info narrowing down the exact model this is. Apparently it's an OC model, and it's possible it can't use standard 6970 drivers, but uses its own. The link is gone, but still referenced in Google.
