I possess a 100mbps connection and a maximum upload speed of 37 Mbps, which is the service limit available in my region. Occasionally in November I could secure a gigabit connection, though it may take some time.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it does improve my OBS stream a bit. The system feels more responsive compared to using an iGPU. On my setup—4th gen Core i5 desktop, 8GB single-channel DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz—I notice OBS works better without the GPU. My old GT1030 helps too when connected. I need to configure OBS to use NVENC in the encoder settings.

Yes, I can run the test. It will help you determine whether dual channel or an 1650s option offers better value at around 45 percent more than current worth.

I'm not sure, but here are some tips to lower CPU usage based on a forum discussion about OBS: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/hig...rst.23334/. I haven't found a clear list of supported hardware from OBS yet, but when using my GT1030, I can switch the encoder to NVENC. For AMD models like HD6780 or 6870 (I don't remember them well), I'm uncertain since I haven't tested them much. My GT1030 has 2GB VRAM, likely DDR3 rather than GDDR5. Overall, it seems to be a process of trial and error—experiment with settings, as performance varies depending on your system, environment, and other factors.

You might want to use the auto-configurator to check OBS performance on your system, as suggested by a user in this forum: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/ple...gs.114292/

I've attempted every suggestion you provided, yet the result remains quite similar and pixelated.

It seems uncertain what steps might work now. But don't worry, others likely have solutions. You might consider adding RAM to enable dual-channel mode, which could improve performance based on @mariushm's advice. For me, the GT1030 helped a little, so if you can find one at a fair price, it should be beneficial.

Sure, I'll start with the 1030.
