You're using an i5-8400 with 8GB RAM in single-channel mode, which can cause performance issues. Switching to dual-channel RAM should help improve speed and reduce latency when streaming with X264.

Adding another stick of RAM usually assists, but the problem seems more network-related. Record straight to the affected PC and check if the video remains blurry—this could point to a CPU issue or another factor.

It appears many users experience improved performance with dual-channel memory versus single-channel. High CPU and memory consumption is unusual, particularly when streaming with 8400 and 8GB RAM. You should identify which application is consuming resources and assess whether terminating it is safe. Using a weaker GPU like GT1030 (or older models such as HD6780) can enhance video encoding performance compared to Intel HD graphics. I strongly suggest upgrading to a dedicated GPU if possible, as it will significantly aid video encoding. Ensure your streaming application supports hardware encoding.

GT1030 lacks a hardware encoder, making it essentially useless. Previous HD 6xx cards featured a weak VCE hardware encoder that might not be supported in OBS anymore. Adding dual channel could improve performance slightly by 5-15%. For software encoding with x264, gains are likely minimal, though you can adjust settings to balance quality and resource use.

It's somewhat shaky at 8 kbps, but stable at 6 kbps remains clear even with pixelation. I could potentially hit around 1650s if I succeed.

I've tested everything and it doesn't look good.

This appears to be a question about the origin of the recording, whether it's from a local source or related to Twitch.

If you record at 100k bitrate, it seems crystal clear only in certain games—like Cod, Forza H4, and Rocket League—while Twitch struggles. Other titles perform better locally, but those three games deliver top quality most of the time.

Initially I intended to mention the issue is twitchy.
