I possess a 100mbps connection and a maximum upload speed of 37 Mbps, which is the service limit available in my region. Occasionally in November I could secure a gigabit connection, though it may take some time.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think it does improve my OBS stream a bit. The system feels more responsive compared to using an iGPU. On my setup—4th gen Core i5 desktop, 8GB single-channel DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz—I notice OBS works better without the GPU. My old GT1030 helps too when connected. I need to configure OBS to use NVENC in the encoder settings.
