A few months back I asked for assistance with my PC's poor performance. After thorough investigation, we identified a hardware problem—my system had a Chinese motherboard and a second-hand Xeon CPU. Upgrading recently to an i5 14th Gen and an MSI board resolved the issue. Yet the same problem reappeared, just after a couple of freezes that required forced shutdowns. I'm exhausted from troubleshooting but hesitant to assume the worst (CPU or motherboard failure). I need suggestions before things get worse.

The issue in your earlier discussion was about the problem you encountered in the previous thread.

Wow, that was quick. I'll send you the link (in a VERY long way): https://forums. But I'll summarize it for you. After several freezes and forced shutdowns, the PC's performance dropped dramatically, and even then the FPS it supposedly had was fake (for example: 80fps, but it looked like 40 or 50). That was fixed by buying new components, but I'm back to the same old thing and the cause is exactly the same.

I've already performed a fresh installation of Windows 10 without any success, I tried installing Windows 11 and switched the SSD from MBR to GPT in hopes it would fix the issue, but nothing changed.

You might want to try a tool such as HWiNFO to monitor the temperatures of your CPU, CPU package, VRM, and motherboard. This can help you observe their behavior before issues arise. With just one 120mm CPU cooler, it seems like it may not provide enough cooling or case ventilation.

No, the identical SSD was not utilized across different builds.

I also considered this, but I'm confident the temperature issues aren't the main concern. After upgrading to the CPU with the original Intel heatsink, I experienced no problems even at 90°C under load. Using liquid cooling kept temperatures below 70°C during high demand. The real issue isn't the frame rate; it's the visual performance on my screen. Even at 120fps, motion appears choppy and unstable, which is likely due to crashes that forced shutdowns. This was the reason behind my difficulties across both PC setups (see first 9 seconds).

Yes, I tried it before to replace the HDD in my earlier CPU+Mobo configuration to check for issues, but it turned out the problem wasn't there. I completed the necessary tests and confirmed the SSD was functioning properly.

HWiNFO64 provides additional details beyond temperatures. Run HWiNFO64 with sensors only and logging enabled for at least half an hour during the performance problem. Upload the generated log file to a location accessible without login so we can examine its contents.
