Issues with your computer
I've observed that my CPU is operating near full capacity and I frequently experience significant performance drops in Overwatch. It doesn't seem to be related to temperatures since both my GPU and CPU are running at similar high levels. This issue has only recently started but is already affecting my gameplay. The programs I have running in the background are Razer Synapse, Discord, and Nvidia GeForce Experience, yet nothing changes when I close them. My AMD A8-6600K is paired with an EVGA GEFORCE GTX 770, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 240GB SSD, and 240GB HDD. P.S. Apologies if I posted this in the incorrect location—I wasn't sure where to submit it. Thank You.
Open Task Manager, select 'Show processes from all users,' and click the tab at the top to arrange by CPU usage.
The game is active while standard browsers like Google Chrome and Gyazo are not accessible.
I also considered noting that I had to lower the graphics settings from high to low just to verify the FPS drop isn't too severe.
That's... quite intriguing in a different way xD. For more specific help, the sections "Graphics Cards" and "CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory" would be better. Still, it's okay to ask general questions—you don’t need all the details. Did any of the programs you’ve been using change their settings to enable audio, video recording, or local streaming? It seems unusual unless Overwatch has a major graphical update, which I doubt.
I experimented with GeForce Experience recording but faced some issues before. Most programs shouldn’t have altered their settings, since GeForce Experience manages drivers and game optimization which I don’t use. Razer Synapse only controls my mouse, and Discord is for communication, not graphics updates. For Overwatch I believe there haven’t been recent graphical improvements. I’m confused because Star Wars Battlefront 2015 runs smoothly on ultra without the same problems.
Hello, I'm working on assembling my first gaming PC. I went for a budget-friendly approach similar to Linus's setup, using an LGA 1366 motherboard with two Xeon X5560 processors, a MBD-X8DTT-F SUPERMICRO system board for the CSE-827H-R1400B and CSE-827HD-R1400B models. I installed 24 GB of ECC RAM, a Corsair Vengeance LPX 500 PSU, and an RX480 network card. Unfortunately, it won't power on. Could someone assist me with this issue? Thank you.
