I updated Windows 8 again and followed the steps mentioned. You’ll see a positive result. Whether it comes from the update or the media creation tool, just press that button.

The issue seems to be that the media creator didn’t properly convert my W8.1 original key into a W10 key. On the activation screen, it shows the final digits of a generic W10 preview key I found on other forums. Could you share just the last five numbers you see? (The rest is kept secret to prevent easy access)

All users share the same basic code, so you just need to press it hard to trigger the activation, which works for everyone.

I was mistaken about that key. Having the same one wouldn’t be strange if everyone used it. Think about a fresh reset—maybe I’ll give it another shot. I don’t understand, but I’m determined to keep going.
