Issues with Trident Z Neo games
I recently enhanced my 3900x setup with a 64GB Trident Z Neo package. This configuration matches the claimed 16-16-16-36 specifications at 3600MHz. The system was extremely shaky at the advertised settings but operates smoothly at 14-14-15-36 at 3466MHz. Just a bit of luck with the dimmer?
4 Simms or 2? It's a quick setup, which isn't too surprising given the speed is a bit lower.
It's simple to increase the voltage to 1.45v without any active cooling.
Absolutely, at 3600 it puts a lot of strain on the IMC and interconnect. You might want to manually adjust the SOC to 1.1 and DRAM to 1.35, then switch to 3200 with XMP/DOCP enabled. If that works, try it at 3600 as well.
It's likely higher voltage could boost the claimed performance, but I haven't seen a setup that maintained stability with just XMP/AMP settings.
Using four DRAM modules increases the pressure on the Integrated Memory Controller (IMC) relative to two. Although your system might support DDR4-3600+, the CPU's IMC may not be equipped to manage it.
