Interestingly, I discovered a video discussing a loaner kit that lends you a CPU just enough to boot into BIOS. Perhaps I could purchase an affordable CPU, return it once finished, or retain it if my existing one isn't compatible.

I'm unable to start from BIOS, and the MBO isn't showing a flashback.

It's still feasible to flash it, though this involves a hot air station and an EEPROM programmer.

Generally, you'd need to check the motherboard debug LEDs unless you have alternative computers for testing parts. (This refers directly to the section in your motherboard manual that lists the LED locations or error codes.) Firefox directs you to page 46, while other browsers may not.

I verified it earlier too, but I don’t see any LEDs except the standby power. Even when the CPU is off and RAM is removed, there are no lights. It seems the system needs to try booting for those LEDs to function. My fans aren’t turning, and I only notice the MBO power light.

You might want to keep pressing the memOK button until a light begins to flash. Once that happens, power it up and it will perform memory tuning. Be sure the XMP switch is turned off. This device is quite outdated—remember when you had to configure 486s and Pentiums? They typically only came with jumpers, not switches. Make sure to go through the manual before starting it up.

I’ll include it on my list of things to try. I’ll be home soon.

I attempted the memok but expected a blinking LED (as per manual instructions). Since it didn’t blink, I’m unsure if the issue is with the MBO or the CPU. Edit: Wait, isn’t the memok meant to start blinking when pressed? It didn’t, what does that imply?

It refers to memory training designed for untested memory. I’m not entirely sure of the exact meaning, so I’ll look it up. It seems the system isn’t identifying the CPU, which might be the intended outcome.

The motherboard may not work with your M.2 because it uses SATA M.2, not NVME. Consider removing it to test later. Clear the CMOS for a reset to default settings—check your manual for instructions. Reinstall the CPU and memory. I own an Asus Z97-A; it tends to be sensitive. A CMOS reset helped me out once, but I’m unsure about NVME compatibility on SATA interfaces at those speeds. It might lose USB ports if used as a SATA drive, though the board may only support 3.1 ports. Good luck!
