It's unusual with both GPU and VRAM usage staying steady. I'm seeing around 78 FPS in the city, about 65 when battling many enemies—close enough but not great. Suddenly it drops to 50 while fighting a lot of foes and stays between 50-55. Then I can go back to the same area and get about 64 FPS again, except VRAM seems maxed out or optimization is lagging. I’m thinking about getting a single card soon, but I’m not sure yet if it’ll help.

I truly wish this update gets fixed so I can enjoy the game. My preferences are set to high, ambient occlusion at medium, depth of field enabled, and motion blur turned off—something the game suggests should be higher.

Yeah, those settings are fairly conservative. Considering it's WB we're talking about here, it wouldn't surprise me if it's an issue with the game in general.

It wouldn’t come as a surprise either. The forum users with older drivers might be reporting different experiences. I’ve also reinstalled the game twice, but it hasn’t fixed the problem. It’s been a while since I did a clean Windows install—I might give that a try to see if it helps.

Drivers could also be an option. So far, no one from the AMD side has expressed any complaints.

It's a bit funny because many games focus on AMD while overlooking NVIDIA.

It seems the issue persists despite a new Windows setup. The performance remains poor, and even after trying Slim, the frame differences are still noticeable—about 20-25 frames down in the ground and around 40 frames up in the towers.

I hope this message finds someone reading it. I've been running more tests with Shadow of War, and it seems the FPS is actually declining. One issue I think is linked to my VRAM being fully used when it shouldn't be. Also, I observed that my second card consistently stays at 99%, while my first card dropped as low as 82% and hovered around 86% for a while. Maybe it's because the GPU reached its maximum temperature at 85°C, and it hasn't been cleaned recently—these are reference cards. My CPU usage tops out at 60% with a core of 75%, though it usually stays near 68%, never exceeding 65%. RAM usage peaks at up to 80%, mainly due to background processes. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

You're right to notice this. It seems your 980s aren't handling the load as expected. They might be struggling with high temperatures, similar to other games where the GPU stays near or at maximum temperature, and the fan runs around 60%. That could explain the slowdown.
