After reinstalling Mint, today I encountered frozen external monitors, power button issues, and an unfreezing process. I’m now using a different USB-C dock for work tonight. I plan to begin troubleshooting tomorrow by testing the first dock without its cable. I also recall using a Thinkpad X1 Extreme with various setups over nine months, including two Ugreen docks and new cables, after finding another laptop had problems with a no-name dock due to faulty USB-C ports.

Hm thats weird. Im quite sorry to hear you have such an extensive problem. Do you perhaps have an older driver you could use? I understand you were swapping between the drivers so perhaps its just that. A faulty driver. If there is a build before 535 that could probably work. Older drivers are more stable most of the time. To me it honestly sounds like the docks arent the case if they both crash. Did you do any software change for the drivers yourself? And can you check the utilization of the individual components for any abnormalities?
