Issues with overclocking Ryzen 3 1200 processor
OK so i chose to boost my Ryzen 3 1200 to 3.9 GHZ at 1.3875 Volts, thinking that might help. After downloading the Ryzen CPU image for Blender and rendering it, I opened my startup performance tool. Then something strange occurred—like it halts at around 1.37 GHz instead of reaching 3.9 GHz at all. I found an image showing this problem. When I tested it in Prime95, the same issue appeared again. I’m confused about what’s causing it and wonder if a higher voltage might be necessary.
I just checked my setup to compare it with Windows, and noticed the readings vary a lot—between 3.33 and 3.79 for the 3.8GHz model. In contrast, HWMonitor shows a clear main difference of about 3.791. When I click Stress CPU in cpuz or run Prime95, my CPU usage jumps to 100%, while yours only shows 35%.
I checked my setup to compare it with Windows and found that Windows fluctuates between 3.33 and 3.79, whereas HWMonitor shows a consistent 3.791 difference. When I click Stress CPU in cpuz or run Prime95, the CPU usage jumps directly to 100%, while mine only shows 35%. Do you know why?
