Hey everyone, I'm looking for some guidance on getting GTA V running smoothly. I'm experiencing stuttering issues and have tried different settings, but it still happens. Could you share the best configurations based on my laptop specs? My machine is an Asus TUF FX504GE-E4366T with an i5 8th Gen processor, 8 GB DDR4 RAM, a GTX 1050 Ti GPU, and Windows 10. Thanks!

It might be your hard disk that's the issue. How much room is available? Is it an SSD or spinning disks?

Unlikely. Games store all data in VRAM and system memory, so very little is actively read from storage. That’s why loading screens appear. While a huge world like GTA 5 might need streaming, it would likely only show during fast movement. Probably this issue is driver-related. I suggest using DDU to remove drivers and install the latest ones from Nvidia.

Reduce grass quality and eliminate post effects, MSAA and FX.

It seems you're experiencing thermal problems. Verify temperatures during smooth gameplay and when performance drops. Does the stuttering occur in particular map sections or randomly? As noted earlier, grass and foil textures might contribute to this issue.

Check if other background programs are consuming memory or causing overheating. Keep an eye on system temperatures and use Task Manager to see which applications are active.

The issue isn't tied to a specific area. I'll review the temperatures and background applications. Do you have any software suggestions?
