It struggles to handle 8K resolution. This card offers basic capabilities rather than advanced features. It performs best when functioning smoothly without issues. Check some online reviews for more insight. One user mentioned the GPU couldn’t manage 8K at 60Hz without problems.

Keeping up with what? Doing well in what? I’m not sure why this is still puzzling for you, but he isn’t trying to play games. These reviews don’t relate to anything in this discussion. It seems you’re either really confused about what the original poster is discussing or just ignoring what we’re trying to share. The specifications of the card compared to others in games play no role here. Everyone here, including the OP, understands that the card can’t be expected to function at 8K.

I’m considering whether a switch to 4:2:0 or a lower refresh rate would resolve the issue. If that doesn’t help, it could point to bandwidth or interference problems. Which cable are you using—optical or copper? How long is the cable? It’s possible a longer cable might be the culprit, though optical cables can be more expensive. For 8k60Hz at 4:2:2 with 8-bit encoding, expect roughly 36Gbps; at 4:2:0 it should be about 24Gbps. There could be some bandwidth constraints if decoding happens on the iGPU and then sent to the GPU for output. Ensure your PCIe slot supports PCIe 4.0; otherwise, speeds will be limited. Also verify that the iGPU has sufficient memory allocated. If you’re only monitoring a security camera, 4:2:2 likely won’t offer much advantage—stick with 4:2:0 if it fixes the problem. So ten hours is fine. The mix-up some people have is thinking it would fail no matter what activity was running. Just having the desktop open alone seems to be the problem, even though the card supports 8k output. Unfortunately, I don’t have another 8k TV or card to test for specific issues, but it looks like the main concern is bandwidth. Yes, using CCTV 4:2:0 doesn’t make a difference. Everything now functions smoothly at half GPU load, and the fan often stays off when the room is cool.
