Issues with 8K display problems!
Hi, your RX6400 connected through HDMI to an 8K TV with a high-quality 8K cable is functioning well at 30Hz. At 60Hz it works for short periods (5 to 10 minutes) but the screen becomes corrupted by about 10%. Restarting resolves the issue, and rebooting the PC/TV after a power cycle helps too. You've already tried changing the HDMI cable, lowering color depth, updating drivers, and reducing color depth—any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Martin.
The RX6400 supports up to 7680x4320 resolution. To ensure a consistent display, you should reduce the resolution.
Duplicate connections, new graphics cards, and a 7680x4320 monitor at 8K resolution. The motherboard is listed with HDMI 2.1, though actual speed isn't confirmed. I picked up the datasheet for an MSI RX6400 which confirms 8K60 capability.
The ideal setting applies to achieving a consistent screen output. The user aims for a reliable display performance without needing extreme resolutions like 8K. Standard desktop and video playback should work adequately.
I'm not trying to argue that this is a good idea, hell the OP hasn't even stated the purpose. You're reading into things that don't exist. The point is, that you seem to be missing, is that the GPU they have is advertised to output an 8K60 signal. Period. That's all we're being asked for help with. Not if its a good idea for a HTPC, not if it can play games. But simply if it can output a stable desktop resolution and refresh rate of 8K60.
It occurs regularly, yet I rely on it for showing 8xQHD cameras. The RX6400 runs at half CPU when using GridPlayer. I'll attempt the fix as mentioned earlier!
