Issue with WhatsApp after upgrading to Windows 10
After the upgrade, every time I try to start my computer I encounter this error message* even though the system shows all permissions in properties. The solution requires navigating to App settings and selecting "Reset". "Repair" isn't effective. Each time I have to re-link everything. I've reinstalled from the Microsoft store, used PowerShell commands, and downloaded standalone applications. I also ran PowerShell to reset all Windows Store apps to their default state. WhatsApp refuses to work with this setup—it won’t let me proceed on a machine that keeps returning meaningless data. I wished I could have sent a startup log, but in the Event Viewer it only shows Event ID: 6005 with zero events. It looks like there’s more I need to do.
It seems restoring all Windows Store apps to default is causing a similar failure for "Microsoft Phone" as well. I can open the folders Windows says are inaccessible, but I’ve tried “Take Ownership” without success.
remove the app, restart, then reinstall
look for additional updates using "windows update"
I have removed it every time using Ashampoo and restarted the system. It might be an issue that even Ashampoo isn't detecting. No updates are available in Windows.
Removed it from App settings
Restarted the computer and visited the Microsoft store. This time I installed the beta version to check if it would help.
Restarted again, same message appeared: 5319275A.WhatsAppDesktop_2.2586.6.0_x64 ... Windows cannot access...
Go to the folder and verify its presence.
Once located, claim ownership of the folder.
Execute from an elevated command prompt.
takeown /f "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\5319275A.WhatsAppDesktop_2.2586.6.0_x64__cv1g1gvanyjgm" /r

Verify and fix Windows setup
Launch Elevated Command Prompt
Look for "cmd" in the Start Menu, click it
Run as administrator
Execute DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
The restore process finished without issues.
However, the issue remains unresolved.
I continue encountering the error "ERROR: File or Directory not found." to the command line.
