I bought two units of the Team Group MP33 128GB NVME SSD. The motherboard and CPU are gigabyte Visions D z590 and intel i9-10900k. I ran out of M.2 slots, so I got a PCIe 4x to M.2 adapter card. After fitting it in the middle PCIe slot, both SSDs appear, but in the bottom slot only one is visible. The SSD shows up in the motherboard bios, yet not in Windows or Linux.

Do you have a SATA SSD connected as well? Certain boards might turn off either the M.2 port or specific SATA connections when the second M.2 is installed. Make sure your additional slot can handle the device you're using. Some devices offer both PCIe and SATA interfaces, while others are limited to just one type.

No external hard drives are connected right now. The main limitations my motherboard shows are the PCIe port where one drive sits and the m.2 slot for the other, which share the same bandwidth. To clarify, both SSDs show up in the BIOS, though the operating system is missing.

It seems the system isn't recognizing the file or folder.

I think one of these might be a boot drive. Could a RAID have been accidentally set up during the Windows installation, combining both as a single partition? Keep in mind that the install process can sometimes write files to secondary storage, which usually isn't recommended since it makes booting alone difficult. Windows was already running on the machine, so I added both storage devices simultaneously.

Only when it's positioned in the central PCIe port, but not in the lowest one, and the GPU must be in the highest port, limiting its movement to that spot.

According to the diagram, you're referring to the lower two options, not the upper ones. The manual suggests compatibility with PCIe5 version 11 in the 11th generation, covering pages 30 to 31. Updated on March 1, 2023 by An0maly_76 – additional details provided.

With a budget of 10,900k, the M2A port is turned off. Your Windows setup uses M2M. An SSD is connected via M2P, while the remaining SSD is housed in an adapter card within the lowest PCIe lane.
