Issue with PC restarting repeatedly during Windows 10 installation from a USB drive?
Verify that you're actually starting from the USB drive.
Check if it performs the same function without using the USB.
If it doesn't, you might not be booting from the USB.
Consider using a different Linux USB version, such as Ubuntu, to see if the issue persists.
If it still fails, it could indicate a more serious hardware problem.
Yes. I've tested win 10 and 11, and the Windows logo is visible, which confirms it recognizes it.
Without a USB connection I remain trapped in BIOS. When USB is present the Windows logo shows, but it restarts after just a few seconds.
Disable Fast Boot.
Deactivate Secure Boot.
Configure the SATA controller to use AHCI mode (excluding Intel RST).
Tried again with Windows 10 and the same issue occurred. Asus logo shows, a spiny circle for half a second, then a brief red light appears before returning to the logo. I completed a mem test and everything worked fine. Loaded Linux Mint Cinamon but it failed to load as well—got stuck in a similar cycle. I'm wondering why the hardware won't run Windows 11? Thanks!
I removed the GPU and attempted to start using the built-in graphics.
It might function if you skip the Windows 11 prerequisites.
However, it is not compatible and could become ineffective following a forthcoming update.
