You're facing compatibility issues with your R7 5700x and B500M Mortar Wifi board. Despite checking the documentation, the CPU debug LED stays lit, and the system won't boot. You've tried updating BIOS, re-seating components, and ensuring proper power connections. It seems there might be a deeper hardware or firmware conflict. Consider reaching out to the manufacturer's support with detailed logs and photos for further assistance.

The 5700X hasn't been running for three weeks. Unless the board received a very recent BIOS update, it won't function properly. Just being compatible with older 5000-series chips isn't sufficient. The product site being broken is unfortunately common with MSI. Edit: LOL

The 5700X appears as a supported CPU on the site with the current BIOS version, meaning you likely need a compatible processor to proceed with the update.

I don’t have access to another CPU, and I’ve updated the BIOS to that specific version, yet the issue remains unresolved. I’ll attempt it once more.

You might believe that because the motherboard is made and delivered with an outdated BIOS, and manufacturers released updated versions after shipping. This often leads to using a new BIOS provided by the consumer to ensure proper functionality. It's a frequent issue with Ryzen CPUs, as they all share the same socket. If you're certain about the BIOS version, it could point to the CPU itself needing replacement. You might want to discuss this with the seller for more options.

I didn’t mention that a BIOS update was available (the product page isn’t loading for me, so I can’t verify). Just because it exists doesn’t mean the OP’s board is current. If it was sent to stores more than a month ago, it likely wasn’t included in the latest BIOS by default. He probably interpreted my response as needing a very recent update, even though I said none such existed for some reason.

I just updated the BIOS again to that version. The flashing caused the indicator lights to blink properly. After a short wait, the system powered up with fans running, though the debug display immediately showed a CPU error.

B550M Mortar can refresh its BIOS independently of the CPU, RAM, and GPU.

I intend to attempt once more, postponing the bios until necessary. A companion noted I might be rushing through the flash stage. I'll keep you updated!
