Older apartments may have more chances of mouse delays because their wiring and hardware can be outdated. These issues often affect performance over time, especially in areas like gaming where responsiveness matters. The problem might have improved once you switched to a different space.

No, it's not specified if it's a wireless mouse. Could you clarify or provide more details?

All connections are near the headset, I experienced about four years of delay in this apartment. At my friend's place it vanished instantly.

Observed OP's response. Disregard what follows. A wired mouse lag appears inconsistent across locations? Same machine? That seems strange.

I rarely connect to wireless devices except for the headset. It's strange how a poor apartment affects mouse speed everywhere, but I don't understand why. This issue appears in all rooms, so I tested my PC in a friend's place and it worked perfectly.

I didn't realize this was important. Just wanted to emphasize this for those dealing with slow mouse movement and anyone who's experienced it over time.

When you returned from your friend's house, did the lag occur?

Could the slowdown come from your device struggling to link with your local Wi-Fi? If you enable airplane mode inside your home, it might prevent the connection altogether.

This occurs both when using physical devices and online. I tested three distinct Wi-Fi connections.
