Issue Low FPS on GIGABYTE RTX 3080 Gaming OC
Is it compatible with your motherboard's PCIe 4.0 slot?

Does this look suitable?
I’m considering a return, and I prefer unbiased sources. If I contact NVIDIA, they might point out any issues with their own products.
Nvidia wouldn't provide any assistance for a Gigabyte model card either. You'd need to reach out to Gigabyte support directly. It might not be worth it, as they'd probably just suggest using 3Dmark to confirm performance is okay. You'd have to refer to your motherboard manual or BIOS settings. Only one slot supports 4.0, but this kind of distinction wouldn't noticeably impact game loading times or overall performance. As long as you're not using an HDD, speeds should remain stable. To investigate potential issues with other hardware, consider running userbenchmark. Make sure no additional AA or sharpening effects are present; otherwise, it shouldn't influence performance. Two adjustments I'd suggest: change the Negative LOD bias to 'clamp' and disable Trilinear optimization. Another point to verify is launching the game and, while using alt+tab, opening Task Manager to check processes.
as requested, here is the revised version:
the content is ready.
you can find it at the provided link.
edit: screenshot after two modifications in the NVIDIA control center.
I began the MSI benchmark after the bus launch (start of the match).
while reviewing, I will attempt it again without Windows Defender.

The game's engine begins to fail at around 144 FPS or higher, causing it to stutter severely—it’s definitely not your hardware.
2400MHz versus 3200MHz RAM may lead to some visible performance variations, especially with newer CPU generations.
If XMP is active but not optimized to manufacturer specifications, it might indicate a problem with motherboard or RAM compatibility.
Review the motherboard memory QVL to confirm your model is supported.
yep don't know why some data is missing it went through though
here is another, this time the SSD is green

yep I came to that understanding, GTA V is not my main concern anyway
I frequently toggle XMP DDR4-3200 on and off without much clarity about when or where it goes wrong. I manually set the speed to 3200 Mhz, though I'm sure I didn't do it correctly before. I plan to test in-game again.
EDIT: Now it's working with XMP enabled and the speed set to 3200 Mhz as intended (it was at the start and I lost track somewhere). It's better than what others said, but still lower than the mentioned sources.
