Issue arises on PC after desk collision Problem occurs when the workspace is disturbed
I bumped my desk today and whole pc froze up and then motherboard restarted. Unknown cause and even looked in error logs it just said unexpected shutdown any ideas? FYI PC is custom built and not a prebuilt. and if a video is needed I can demonstrate the problem
Uncertain, but it could be relevant even though I manage my cables well. There might be many other factors involved that I’m not aware of.
Similar behavior occurs on other devices as well. If we gently shake our computers—just enough to cause movement—they freeze completely. They won’t restart, the screen remains unchanged, and no action is needed except a hard reboot. We’ve confirmed all cables are securely connected, so I’m curious to hear what others have encountered and how they resolved or worked around the problem.

It might be a loose connection causing issues, affecting the HDD, possibly disrupting the motherboard inside the case, or even impacting the GPU. The potential causes are quite varied. Personally, I suspect the HDD is the most likely culprit. I've experienced this firsthand (the drive was outdated and had to be replaced).
I'm considering that as the primary input, though I'm certain it's not due to any Mobo issues. Hope this isn't the case.
I fasten the GPU into the correct holes and it stays firmly in place.
I connect the NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, otherwise I'd support the HDD explanation. If the GPU is acting up or loose, I'd expect a display issue instead of just freezing, since I use it for video output. I imagine it might disconnect the screen briefly before freezing, rather than stopping completely. It could be something else, like a loose cable or an internal short, even though I double-checked all connections.
